Thank you, EFLI fans. Keep the spirit alive all year round, and make this the greatest sport in your country, but more importantly make it your own and stay true to your culture.

EFLI Player Profile: Mayank "Brady" Sharma

The best quarterback in the league? Next year, he could be...

Mayank Sharma

Mayank "Brady" Sharma had a fantastic first year in the EFLI and really lived up to his nickname after New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady.

Sharma threw for 475 yards last season, along with six touchdowns. He needs to make better decisions to decrease interceptions, but as far as advice for Sharma: watch more tapes on Brady and get ready for next year.

The plays, the pocket presence, even the quarterback sneaks on 4th and 1, all resemble the real Brady. He can really learn how to pick apart defenses with some more complex patterns if he is ready to take up the challenge.

As of now, this is a running league, but Sharma is the one pocket quarterback who can change the momentum of the league with an already good running game to create a more balanced offense.

Kolkata Vipers...meet the Wildcat Offense

How can the Kolkata Vipers win a game?

Say hello to the wildcat offense:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQb78KL-2xE

Ronni Banda is perfect for the wildcat offense. If the Vipers incorporate this style, they could dominate the league on offense. They have talented receivers and a fast quarterback, they should be able to balance the wildcat or even an option type of offense.

Kolkata Vipers Week: 0-6 Purple has potential in 2013

This league is still young, which means the Vipers still have time to get better players to keep up with the rest of the league. The Vipers have a very talented wide receiving corp, not too mention team star  Ronit "Roni" Banda

They are the weakest team in the EFLI, they have talent, but also dead weight. There only close game was against the Dehli Defenders, where the Vipers did not even score.

They only scored 15 points the whole season, and were the only team to give up a total of 100 points.

Pending on how many locals try-out for next season, the Vipers could gain potentially new talent.

Viper week will be all this week, analyzing the team, and discussing possibilities of their future.

EFLI Player Profile: Shenal Dias

One team in Pakistan: The Wolfpak.
One big target: Shenal Dias.

This rugby player stands in at 6'4 for the Pakistan Wolfpak, and is the main threat at wide receiver. The EFLI is not a passing league yet, but Dias still had two touchdowns in 2012. He has proven he is a dual threat by also recording 72 rushing yards on just seven rushing attempts.

Pakistan was one of the weakest teams last year, but Dias is the type of player you build around. If the Wolfpak can find other athletic players like Dias with freakish size and strength, they can be competitive next season

EFLI Rumors: Will there be an expansion of two teams?

The bigger the better for the EFLI.

They should strongly consider bringing back former discontinued teams back into the mix if enough people show interest in wanting to try-out.

Bring back the black and yellow!

The (Chennai or Goa) Swarm should make a comeback simply because they had awesome uniforms, and lets be realistic, a big appeal of the EFLI are the uniforms and helmets.

The Punjab Warriors should also make a comeback, the more the merrier.

Make the league consist of 10 teams for better competition and fan growth. The EFLI should keep pushing forward with changes and success.

EFLI Player Profile: Manjunatha “Ray Lewis” S.K.

When your nickname is "Ray Lewis," you know you have high expectations. Manjunatha S.K. does not just have that "52" on his jersey, but he has proven to be one of the hardest hitting linebackers in the whole league. He can hit hard, while also wrapping up well, which is still something the league is getting use to doing. It is not about how hard you hit, but that you get the ball-handler down on the initial tackle.

In seven games for the Bangalore Warhawks, "Ray Lewis" and his defense gave up a total of 66 points, which was fourth best in the league. The most points they gave up was against the runner-up Delhi Defenders in the semi-finals.

Expect Manjunatha to come back strong next season, and will most likely have more help from a now experienced defense.
